Aston Villa continued their perfect start to the Under-18 Premier League season with a 2-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend
The Young Lions took all three points thanks to goals from Lamare Bogarde and Tristan Abldeen-Goodridge, despite the dismissal of Sil Swinkels in the second half.
Spurs had more possession and dominated in terms of chances, but Villa displayed the ruthless edge that has seen them build a five-point lead at the top of the table after just five games.
After the first half ended goalless, the visitors landed the first blow with Bogarde finding the net after 56 minutes.
Swinkels received his marching orders just eight minutes later but Villa held their lead and extended it with 19 minutes remaining through Abldeen-Goodridge.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Filip Marschall dealt with all nine of Spurs' shots on target to keep a clean sheet.
Villa will look to make it six wins out of six when they face Fulham at Bodymoor Heath on Saturday.
