Aston Villa Women’s WSL Academy returned to training on Monday after the FA announced they would be able to train under elite protocols.
On Tuesday night, the Regional talent Club for ages U10s through to U16s will also return to training under the same elite protocols.
The players within this pathway have been supported with home programmes since lockdown started, which consisted of technical and physical programming as well as wellbeing and lifestyle support.
The players were also tasked with tactical/analysis objectives as we continue to try and create future Aston Villa Women first-team players.
WSL Academy manager Jack Peel said “The support we receive from all departments within the club allow us to continue to build the pathway from RTC, to Academy into the first team.
"Getting back in was vitally important for their continued development as well as ensuring all players and staff can remain safe throughout this process.”
