Aston Villa Women couldn't ask to be heading into Saturday's Second City derby with more momentum.
Following a five-week break, Villa picked up their first league win of the season on Sunday against Brighton & Hove Albion by a 2-0 scoreline.
Gemma Davies' side then travelled to Coventry United in the FA Women's Continental League Cup just two days later, and scored no less than nine goals in a ruthless display of finishing.
It gives the group a great boost heading into a pivotal derby game at the weekend, where Villa will be looking to build upon the last two performances and climb the table.
Saturday's visitors head into the game with a couple of league victories already under their belts, as well as a semi-final appearance in the FA Cup.
Blues suffered a narrow defeat to West Ham United last time out, and will view this game themselves as the perfect opportunity to get back on track.
