Jack Grealish, Tyrone Mings, John McGinn and Conor Hourihane were all in action as the final international break of 2020 concluded on Wednesday night.
England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland all completed their UEFA Nations League campaigns, with all three remaining in their current groups for the next edition of the competition.
Grealish's produced a sensational display in Belgium at the weekend and he kept his place in Gareth Southgate's starting XI for the visit of Iceland.
The Villa captain was on form once again, with his outstanding performance earning him another Man of the Match award.

Tyrone Mings also appeared as a second half substitute as Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Phil Foden (2) got the goals in a 4-0 win, with England finishing third in Group A2 behind Denmark and Belgium.
John McGinn's Scotland were looking to secure promotion from Group B2, but a 1-0 defeat away to Israel opened the door for Czech Republic to top the group and progress.
McGinn started his sixth international in a row but he was substituted on 62 minutes, with Steve Clarke introducing Leigh Griffiths as Scotland searched for an equaliser.
Ultimately, Manor Solomon's goal just before half-time was enough for Israel and Czech Republic's 2-0 win over Slovakia was enough to secure the promotion spot.

The Republic of Ireland avoided relegation from their Nations League group, with Conor Hourihane playing the full 90 minutes of their goalless draw with Bulgaria.
It's been a frustrating campaign for Stephen Kenny's side, who drew three and lost three of their six Group B4 fixtures and failed to score in their final five games.
All four players - along with our other internationals - will return to Bodymoor Heath ahead of our Premier League fixture with Brighton on Saturday.
