Aston Villa Women played their first Second City Derby since their promotion to the Women's Super League on Saturday afternoon.

Villa Park provided the perfect setting for the big occasion as Gemma Davies' team looked to pick up consecutive wins. 

Despite having the better of the chances, the home side headed in for half-time at 0-0.

And they were made to rue missed opportunities as Claudia Walker's goal won it in the second half.
