Villa fans, there’s still time to bid on one of the club’s matchworn, signed poppy shirts and help raise money for The Royal British Legion.

We are showing our support for The Royal British Legion and the Armed Forces community this month as we mark Remembrance Day.

All Villa players wore shirts bearing the poppy as a symbol of remembrance and hope in both of our recent fixtures against Southampton and Arsenal.

Those home shirts worn in our Premier League fixture against Saints on November 1 have been signed by the respective player and are available to bid on now.

The proceeds will go to The Royal British Legion. This means that not only can you win a fan item like no other, you will also help improve the circumstances for some of the most vulnerable but deserving individuals within our communities.

The shirt of Villa captain Jack Grealish is currently the most valuable at £2,467.

He is followed by Ross Barkley (£750), Ollie Watkins (£746), John McGinn (£701) and Tyrone Mings (£700).

As well as the United Kingdom, bids have come in from all across the world including Hong Kong, USA, Canada, Norway, Turkey, France, Belgium and Republic of Ireland.

So far, as of 17/11/20, the current total raised is a fantastic £11,531.

Bidding ends on November 28. Once the auction is complete, shirts will be washed and professionally disinfected using UV-C light before being shipped out to the winners.

Good luck!

The Royal British Legion is the country’s largest Armed Forces charity. It is the Legion’s aim to provide lifelong support for those who have been affected - both physically and mentally - as a result of their service

The Legion provides essential support to individuals and families in need, yet they are entirely dependent on the support from the public. This is where your contributions can really make a difference. You can find out more information on The Legion’s great work here.
