Aston Villa will travel to Burton Albion in Round Two of the Carabao Cup.

Dean Smith’s side, runners-up in 2019/20 having reached the Wembley Final in March, have been drawn away to the League One outfit at the Pirelli Stadium.

The tie will be Villa’s first fixture of the new 2020/21 season, with the club’s opening-day Premier League encounter against Manchester City postponed and set to be rearranged.

The cup clash takes place on either Tuesday, September 15 or Wednesday, September 16.

It will be the second time in three years Villa have faced the Brewers in Round Two of the competition.

The winner will travel to either Bristol City or Northampton Town in Round Three following Sunday afternoon’s draw.

Round Three ties take place just a week later on either Tuesday, September 22 or Wednesday, September 23.
