Conor Hourihane has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for their UEFA Nations League double-header in September.

The midfielder will link up with his countrymen on Sunday after making new manager Stephen Kennyโ€™s first squad ahead of games against Bulgaria and Finland.

Ireland will spend two days at the National Training Centre in Abbotstown before flying to the Bulgarian capital Sofia, where they will play on 3 September.

Hourihane and his teammates will return to Dublin to take on Finland on 6 September, with both games held behind closed doors.

Ireland are in Group Four of League B, with Wales the other team in their group.

Hourihane has 17 caps and one goal for his country.
