Douglas Luiz’s stunning strike against Bournemouth at Villa Park has been voted as Aston Villa’s Goal of the Season for 2019/20!
Four brilliant Villa goals were shortlisted for the award, but the Brazilian’s effort on his home debut for the club came out on top after a supporters’ vote opened last week.

Dean Smith’s side were trailing 2-0 to the Cherries when Luiz received a pass from Jack Grealish, got the ball out of his feet and fired an unstoppable shot into the top corner which kissed the crossbar on its way to the back of the net.
The midfielder was up against two of Grealish’s superb hits, against Manchester United and Southampton, while Conor Hourihane was also nominated for his excellent free-kick against Newcastle United.
