A ceremony was held for Aston Villa Women last week as they were presented with the FA Women’s Championship trophy.
Head Coach Gemma Davies, Jade Richards, Kerri Welsh and Elisha N’dow were at Villa Park, with the rest of the squad and coaching staff joining via video call.
Jack Woodward led the presentation as the VillaTV cameras captured it for fans to enjoy.
You can watch the full video of the trophy presentation here.
The trophy award was a long time coming for the Women, who had swept the competition aside en route to winning the FA Women’s Championship.
Unbeaten in 14 games before the campaign was suspended due to COVID-19, the team had won 13 times and drawn once as they sat six points clear at the top.
They were awarded the title after points-per-game was used to decide the league, and they will play in the FA Women’s Super League next season.
The Super League season is aiming for a start date of 5-6 September. If you’d like to get updates on Women’s fixtures, tickets and news, fill out the form below.
