At Aston Villa Football Club, we are committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk.

All staff and volunteers share in this commitment and are aware of our safeguarding policies.

The Club seeks to create a safe and secure environment, enabling all vulnerable groups to participate in a broad spectrum of activities relating to football.

We have a dedicated Safeguarding Team, with Designated Safeguarding Officers in all areas of the Club. On a match day, we have a dedicated Match Day Safeguarding Lead who is supported by our Welfare Officer Team who are trained to manage any safeguarding, Equality and Diversity or Accessibility issues. The Welfare Officers can be identified by their PINK bibs.

In order to safeguard our vulnerable participants, the Club has a number of match day procedures, including lost/found children/adults at risk, to ensure fans can feel safe when attending match day. We operate a wristband system whereby we encourage parents/carers to obtain a purple wristband from the Funzone or North Stand reception and write their contact details on, to allow us to easily reunite lost or found children/adults at risk with their parents or carers.
