Bullring Pre-opening Event Prize Draw
15th May 2025 to 18th May 2025 Terms and Conditions
Promoter: Aston Villa Football Club Limited, Villa Park, Birmingham, B6 6HE (Registered company number 03375789) (“Aston Villa”).
1. This Prize Draw is open to any person aged 16 or over and resident in the United Kingdom at the time of entry.
Employees of Aston Villa (or any affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies) are not eligible to enter, nor are members of these employees’ families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners).
2. HOW TO ENTER. There will be one way to enter the Prize Draw, as follows:
- Entry via online form on the Aston Villa Website
“Sign up via the relevant sign up form on the Club’s official website (www.avfc.co.uk) during the Prize Draw period”.
One entry per person per entry method only. Multiple entries will not be counted and will not increase your chances of winning.
All under 18’s require the permission of their parent/guardian to enter. By entering the prize draw the parent/guardian will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Aston Villa is not responsible for lost, corrupted or delayed entries. Aston Villa reserves the right to disqualify anyone who it believes violated these Terms and Conditions.
3. PRIZE DRAW PERIOD. The Prize Draw Period is as follows:
From midday 15th May 2025 to 23:59 on 18th May 2025.
4. USE OF YOUR ENTRY. Your personal data will be used by Aston Villa and / or its agents (which include Aston Villa Football Club Limited) acting on Aston Villa’s behalf only for the operation of this Prize Draw. If you are a winner of the Prize Draw you agree that Aston Villa may use your name and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this Prize Draw.
5. PRIZES. There will be five Prizes. Each Prize is as follows:
- The chance for you and a friend to attend an exclusive first-look event at the Bullring store ahead of the official launch.
Prizes are as stated and are not transferable. No cash alternatives available. Aston Villa reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a Prize of equal or greater value.
Additional terms
Winners will be notified via email on Monday 19th May 2025. In the email they will receive details/timings of the event).
Winners will be asked to reply to the email within 2 hours of receiving it to confirm their attendance. If they do not or it is not received by Aston Villa in time, Aston Villa will select another winner.
Each winner and guest that confirm attendance will be added to the guestlist and they will all need to bring a form of ID (driver’s licence or passport) with them on the day to gain entry. Entry will be refused without ID.
Prizes may be considered as a taxable benefit to the winner. The winner will be directly responsible for accounting for and paying to HMRC, or other relevant tax authority, any tax liability arising on their prize. Please contact marketingteam@avfc.co.uk for any query related to the taxable amount for reporting to HMRC, or other relevant tax authority.
6. SELECTION OF THE WINNERS. All valid entries will be submitted as per the rules in the “How To Enter” section.
There will be five Prize winners. There is a limit of one Prize per person (for themselves and one guest).
The winner of each Prize will be selected randomly by Aston Villa on or before 19th May 2025.
Each winner will be notified by email on or before Monday 19th May 2025 and asked to reply to the Club within two hours with further contact details (if necessary). If a potential winner of a Prize has not confirmed receipt of the notification within two hours, or is not eligible to enter the Prize Draw or receive the Prize (for any reason), Aston Villa reserves the right to either (i) select an alternative winner on the same basis as described above (who will be given up to two hours to respond); or (ii) not award the Prize.
Each winner and guest will be asked to provide photographic identification and proof of address (passport or driving licence) proving their eligibility before they are entitled to receive the Prize. Winners may be required to participate in further publicity or advertising.
Unless otherwise agreed, Prizes will be delivered to each winner by email.
Accepting the Prize constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Notwithstanding this, if a winner does not confirm agreement and acceptance of these terms and conditions, Aston Villa reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and select an alternative winner on the same basis as described above.
7.WINNER LIST. The winner must provide, and consents to his/her surname and county of residence being made publicly available upon request. Each Winners’ name will be available for a period of 28 days after the selection of the winner by written request to marketingteam@avfc.co.uk.
8. OTHER. No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Aston Villa’s decision shall be final. Aston Villa reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw this Prize Draw at any time but only before the delivery of any prize, without notice.
Under 18’s require their parent’s/guardian’s permission to enter the Prize Draw. By entering the parent/guardian confirms that they have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
Participants in this Prize Draw agree that Aston Villa will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, costs, damage, disappointment or losses of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a prize, or from participation in this Prize Draw. Nothing in this clause shall limit Aston Villa’s liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or liability arising out of Aston Villa’s fraud.
Aston Villa cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party.
Insofar as is permitted by law, Aston Villa, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Aston Villa, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected
These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. SPIRIT OF THE PRIZE DRAW. If an entrant attempts to compromise the integrity or the legitimate operation of this Prize Draw by hacking or by cheating or committing fraud in ANY way, we may seek damages from that entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. Further, we may, in our absolute discretion, disqualify that entrant’s entry to this Prize Draw and may ban the entrant from participating in any of our future promotions, so please play fairly.
