Youri Tielemans joined Aston Villa in July 2023 upon the expiry of his contract at Leicester City.

The Belgium international made 46 appearances during his maiden campaign at Villa Park, netting his first goal in a 4-1 victory at AZ Alkmaar as the Villans reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Tielemans enjoyed a superb 2024/25 and his form was recognised as he was named Supporters’ Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season.

He registered five goals and 10 assists during 53 appearances, also winning the club’s Player of the Month awards in October and April.

The Belgian made 195 appearances for the Foxes during a four-year spell, scoring the winner in the final as they won the FA Cup in 2021.

Tielemans has a wealth of experience in European competition, competing in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.

The midfielder began his career at Anderlecht before moving to Monaco for a two-year stint in France. On the international stage, Tielemans has been a key player for Belgium since debuting in 2016, playing in two World Cups and two European Championships.
