Bio
Young Dutchman Lamare Bogarde joined Aston Villa from Feyenoord in the summer of 2020. Capable of playing in defence or midfield, he spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Bristol Rovers.
Bogarde, who signed a new long-term deal in July 2022, impressed in League One, making 18 appearances for the Gas. He headed back to Rovers for the first half of the 2023/24 campaign before returning to Villa in January 2024.
He made his first-team debut for Villa against Liverpool in the FA Cup third round in January 2021. A matter of days after the cup tie, Bogarde signed his first professional contract with the club.
Ending the 2020/21 season on a high, Bogarde helped Villa win the FA Youth Cup for the first time since 2002.
He has also earned international honours, representing the Netherlands at U15, U16, U18 and U20 levels.
