Bio
Ewan Simpson joined the Aston Villa Academy from Heart of Midlothian in July 2022, signing his first professional contract the following summer.
The midfielder impressed with his performances for the Jambos and, while still just 15-years-old, was part of the Hearts side that reached the Scottish FA Youth Cup Final in 2021/22.
He featured in both the UEFA Youth League and Vertu Trophy in the early stages of the season and, despite an injury-hit campaign, returned to feature in the final Premier League 2 outing of 2024/25, before signing a new contract in May.
Simpson has also represented Scotland at youth international level.
