Aston Villa announced the signing of defender Ethan Amundsen-Day in June 2024, the Norwegian youth international joining from FC Copenhagen.

Born in Leeds, the 20-year-old spent three seasons with the Danish club having started his career with Fredrikstad FK in Norway.

The 2024/25 season saw him make 16 appearances in Premier League 2, playing a further two games in the Vertu Trophy. He also earned his first cap for Norway Under-21s in March 2025, playing five minutes off the bench in a 2-0 friendly win away to Czechia.
