Bio
Oliwier Zych joined Aston Villa from Zaglebie Lubin in his native Poland in the summer of 2020. The young goalkeeper played for Arka Gydnia Youth before making the move to Lubin, where he stayed for two years.
He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Puszcza Niepolomice in the Ekstraklasa, making 26 appearances.
Zych’s talent has seen him represent his country at youth international level. During his time at Villa, Zych was part of the squad who won the FA Youth Cup in 2021, keeping a clean sheet on his one appearance during the cup run.
The talented 'keeper was named in Poland's provisional senior squad in preparation for Euro 2024.
Zych was a regular in Villa's matchday squad during 2024/25, named as a substitute for UEFA Champions League and Premier League matches, and signed a new contract with the club in December 2024.
