Bio

Amadou Onana joined Aston Villa from Everton in July 2024. The midfielder arrived at Villa Park after starring for the Toffees for two seasons.

Onana has accrued plenty of experience at the top end of the game in his young career so far, featuring for Belgium at a World Cup and European Championship. He also featured in the Champions League for LOSC Lille before his move to Everton in 2022.

A dynamic central midfielder, Onana made a name for himself in Germany with TSG Hoffenheim and Hamburg after leaving his homeland.

He made an instant impact for Villa, scoring the first goal just four minutes into his debut in a 2-1 win at West Ham United on the opening day of the 2024/25 campaign.

Strikes against Leicester City and Young Boys followed, as the Belgian notched three times in his first five outings in claret and blue.

Onana went on to make 34 appearances in 2024/25, finding the net on five occasions.
