Youri Tielemans was named Supporters’ Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season at Aston Villa’s End of Season Awards on Wednesday night.
The accolades are well deserved on the back of a tremendous campaign for the Belgian, who has been crucial to the club’s strong 2024/25 season with his performances across all competitions.
Tielemans collected the awards on stage during a prestigious ceremony in the Lower Grounds at Villa Park as players and staff came together for the event, which was hosted by VillaTV’s Kate Tracey.
Recognition from his peers and the Villa faithful arrives after the 28-year-old’s contribution to competing for a top-five finish in the Premier League, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and a run to the FA Cup semi-finals.
Tielemans had started every top-flight fixture until injury ruled him out of the team’s past two matches, while he also started all 12 outings in Europe and every FA Cup tilt.
He’s registered five goals and ten assists in 52 appearances this term, winning the club’s Player of the Month awards in October and April.

John McGinn’s barnstorming run and finish against Paris Saint-Germain at Villa Park was named Goal of the Season.
With his side 2-1 down on the night and trailing 5-2 on aggregate, the Scotsman took the game by the scruff of the neck as he set off on a solo run from midway inside his own half.
McGinn travelled purposefully towards the PSG box, and with opposition defenders backing off, he took the opportunity to shoot.
His left-footed shot gave Gianluigi Donnarumma no chance as it flew past the towering Italian 'keeper to send the stadium wild.

Young Player of the Season went to Morgan Rogers following a dazzling first full season in claret and blue.
The 22-year-old showed his class throughout the campaign, racking up 14 goals and 15 assists across all competitions.
Rogers produced consistent performances from August through to May, taking to the UEFA Champions League seamlessly and scoring his first senior hat-trick against Celtic in the League Phase.
The playmaker’s importance to Unai Emery’s team is underlined by his 53 appearances across all competitions, while he was also shortlisted for the Premier League's Young Player of the Season award.

Ollie Watkins was recognised for becoming the club’s record Premier League goalscorer with a special achievement award.
His strike against Bournemouth earlier this month took him ahead of Gabby Agbonlahor on the all-time list with 75 goals to his name.
Watkins has hit double figures in each of his five seasons in B6, scoring a total of 87 goals in 222 games in all competitions for the club.

There was also recognition for Robin Olsen for his service to the claret and blue cause.
The goalkeeper initially joined Villa on loan in January 2022 before making the move permanent in June of that year.
Olsen, who has made 21 appearances for the club, proved to be a valuable member of the goalkeeping department as understudy to Emi Martínez and has been a popular team-mate in the dressing room as Villa have gone from strength to strength in recent years.

Congratulations to all our award winners!
