John McGinn, Pau Torres and Ian Maatsen returned to Aston Villa’s starting line-up for their Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.
Midfielder McGinn regained the captain’s armband at Villa Park, replacing the suspended Jacob Ramsey following his red card in last weekend’s 1-0 victory at AFC Bournemouth.
Centre-back Torres and left-back Maatsen were also included in Unai Emery’s XI for the visit of Spurs, with Tyrone Mings and Lucas Digne named among the substitutes.
There was also a place in the matchday 20 for Lamare Bogarde, who featured for the first time since the club's UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
Manager Emery was taking charge of his 100th league fixture at the helm, aiming to set a club-record sequence of 18 matches unbeaten on home soil in the Premier League era.
