Aston Villa Women's winning April has been recognised with five nominations for this month's Women's Super League awards.
Natalia Arroyo's side extinguished any threat of relegation with two wins from two as the side secured a big three points on the road to Tottenham Hotspur with a 3-2 victory before taking down high-flying Arsenal with a stunning 5-2 win at Villa Park last night.
Arroyo, who has guided her team to three consecutive wins, is up for Manager of the Month alongside Sonia Bompastor (Chelsea) and Rehanne Skinner (West Ham United).

In-form duo Chasity Grant and Kirsty Hanson have both earned a place on the Player of the Month shortlist.
Grant bagged herself a second-half double against Arsenal as she has settled seamlessly into her new at right wing-back.
Hanson netted a fantastic stoppage time winner against Tottenham earlier this month before thundering Villa's second goal of the evening against Arsenal as she made it three goals in three games.

Hanson's two incredible April strikes have also been nominated for Goal of the Month.
Both efforts were fine solo shots as the powerful forward smashed them both home on her left foot to help seal six massive points.
