It was a successful weekend for our men's first team, as a 1-0 win on the road at Brentford made it a triumphant return to Premier League matters.
Ollie Watkins' goal four minutes into the second period sealed a third-successive win in all competitions, after a midweek Champions League last 16 first leg advantage over Club Brugge had followed up a 2-0 victory over Cardiff City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
There were strong performances all over the field, as Robin Olsen came in between the sticks with a superb showing, and Axel Disasi picked up the Player of the Match award after helping the big Swedish stopper keep a clean sheet in the capital.
Villa were also boosted by the news exciting youngsters Ben Broggio and Bradley Burrowes had put pen to paper on new contracts.
