Emi Martínez and Marco Asensio are both available for Aston Villa’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg against Club Brugge.
The duo missed Saturday’s Premier League victory at Brentford but return to the fold for our eagerly-awaited European clash against the Blauw-Zwart.
Amadou Onana is also closing in on his return having been sidelined since the start of February, but fellow midfielder Ross Barkley remains absent.
Andrés García and Donyell Malen were unavailable for Villa’s 3-1 first leg triumph in Belgium having not been included in the club’s European squad list, and the pair again miss out this time around at Villa Park.
Asked about the availability of Martínez and Asensio at Tuesday afternoon’s pre-match media conference, Unai Emery said: “They are both in the squad.
“Onana as well is coming back in the squad, Barkley is not. Malen and Andrés aren’t.
“And other players I think are in the squad. Of course, hopefully we can have all players available to play.”
