Aston Villa's February Player of the Month poll is now open, allowing supporters to vote for their standout performer.

It was another busy period for Unai Emery's team, with a total of seven games across the Premier League and FA Cup.

Andrés García made his debut for the club at Wolves on the first day of the month as Villa lost out 2-0 at Molineux.

But after adding Axel Disasi, Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford late in the winter transfer window, better results came our way.

Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Jacob Ramsey gave Villa the perfect start inside a minute of an FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Tottenham Hotspur, with Morgan Rogers also on the scoresheet in a 2-1 victory.

That match signalled the start of a four-game run at Villa Park and preceded a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town that saw Ollie Watkins bag an equaliser.

League leaders Liverpool were next up in B6, but Emery's charges weren't overawed and finished the stronger of the two teams as a pulsating match finished 2-2.

Youri Tielemans and Watkins were the players to provide the goals against The Reds.

Aston Villa 2-2 Liverpool

Villa knew they needed to put an end to a five-game winless run in the top flight when Chelsea visited, although they had to do it the hard way after Enzo Fernandez's opener.

Asensio and Rashford combined twice in the second half to turn the match around, including for the winner after 89 minutes.

A tough trip to Selhurst Park followed as Crystal Palace ran out 4-1 winners, but February ended on a high with progression to the last eight of the FA Cup.

Cardiff City were swept aside 2-0 at Villa Park on the back of another brace from Asensio.
