Morgan Rogers has been shortlisted for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Young Player of the Year award.

Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder has been recognised following a memorable debut campaign for the club in the top flight.

Rogers enjoyed 37 Premier League starts during the 2024/25 season, registering eight league goals and 10 assists - a total of 18 goal contributions, while also establishing himself in England’s senior side.

The 22-year-old’s all-action displays saw him nominated for the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season award, while he was named Villa’s Young Player of the Season at the club’s awards dinner last month.

The PFA Awards recognise the outstanding performers from each division and are voted for by players, with the ‘Top Six’ those who have received the most votes from players throughout the process.

Those shortlisted alongside Rogers are Liam Delap (Ipswich Town), Dean Huijsen (AFC Bournemouth), Milos Kerkez (AFC Bournemouth), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal) and Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal).

All winners will be announced during the 52nd annual PFA Awards ceremony on Tuesday, August 19.

Congratulations and good luck, Morgan!
