Aston Villa is pleased to announce the latest intake of scholars to join the Academy's Under-18 squad.

Rhys Oakley

Rhys has been at the Academy since joining the Under-9 age group and is a local lad.
He is very good with the ball at his feet and has a presence, with excellent communication skills. He works well with his back four and is an effective shot stopper.
Theo Houston

Theo joined the Academy a few years ago from grassroots football and has continued to develop and mature as a goalkeeper.
He is a good shot stopper and has developed a very good presence on the pitch.
Clay Atkins

Clay has been with us since Under-9s and likes to get forward and join in the attacks, providing good width and crosses.
He is a local lad who is competitive and prepared to put his body on the line.
Harry Pinnell

Harry joined the club a few years ago from grassroots football. He was a centre forward who has been converted to left back.
He is quick and able to get up and down the pitch and has a real desire to improve and work hard.
Finlay Barnard

Finlay has joined Villa from Tottenham Hotspur. He is a competitive player who can manage the ball and has an appetite to defend.
He approaches the game with maturity.
Farid Addey

Farid joined the Academy a few years ago from Coventry City.
He is a powerful, strong, athletic player who can manage the ball effectively and has a good range of passing. He can play centre midfield or centre back.
Lennon Mulhuish

Lennon is a very good technical central midfielder who has been with the club since the Under-9s.
He is able to manage the ball effectively and connect the defence to the midfield.
Oliver Bindley

Ollie joined Villa a few years ago from Birmingham City.
He is a very good ball manager who can create goalscoring opportunities as well as get forward and score goals. He has good football intelligence.
Jahmi Kellyman

Jahmi, is the brother of former Villan Omari.
Jahmi is a clever, technical player who reads and understands the game well. He is able to get in between the lines and link the game, creating positive situations. He has a good footballing brain.
Jack McGrath

Jack has been in the Academy for a number of years having joined from Birmingham City.
He is a creative attacking midfield player who is technically very good. Jack was part of the Under-18 squad who the league and the FA Youth Cup, scoring against Newcastle United in one of the earlier rounds.
Markie Meade

Markie first signed as an Under-9. He can play as centre forward or a little deeper.
He is a goalscorer and has an ability to assist his teammates, managing the ball very effectively. He was a member of the Under-18 squad that won the league and FA Youth Cup double.
Rio Hammond

Rio has been at the Academy since his Under-9 year.
He is a hard-working No.9 who makes effective runs and has a good eye for a goal. He also works hard at closing down defenders and is difficult to play against.
Tay'veon Smithen

Tay’veon is a creative, skilful, athletic and agile wide player, who has a good eye for goal and creating chances.
He has been at the Academy since his Under-9 age group and is a local lad.
