Aston Villa suffered late heartbreak as Fulham grabbed a last-gasp injury-time leveller to snatch a 3-3 draw in Premier League 2.
The Young Lions looked to be heading for all three points against the high-flying Cottagers at Bodymoor Heath until Bradley De Jesus equalised with almost the last kick of the game in the 92nd minute.
Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba had earlier bagged a first-half brace and went agonisingly close to completing his hat-trick moments before Fulham had the final say.
The forward opening the scoring with a delightful piece of skill and finish after eight minutes, before doubling his tally midway through the first half as the Young Lions pounced on a defensive error.
But Fulham, second in the PL2 table having won 10 of their 12 matches heading into the encounter, levelled courtesy of two goals in three minutes from Aaron Loupalo-Bi and Terrell Works.
Brad Burrowes immediately fired Villa back in front in the 38th minute, and that was how it remained until the six-goal thriller was wrapped up in added time, with Josep Gombau’s side cruelly denied a long-awaited league victory.

The Young Lions went into the encounter on the back of a 5-0 triumph over Sutton Coldfield Town to reach the quarter-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup, although they were winless in seven PL2 matches.
It was a bright start from the hosts as Kyrie Pierre tested Fulham ‘keeper Marco Underwood before Jimoh-Aloba opened the scoring.
The Villa No.10 sent a delightful ball through the legs of Damon Park before drilling beyond a helpless Underwood.

The Cottagers responded strongly and Kristian Sekularac found the side-netting before seeing his free-kick deflected over, while Park headed wide at the far post when well placed.
Yet it was the home side who doubled their advantage midway through the first half, capitalising on a defensive mistake to feed Jimoh-Aloba, who skipped beyond Eddy Nsasi before applying a smart finish.

Manager Gombau was forced into a change just after the half-hour mark as Kadan Young was replaced by Travis Patterson.
And, amid driving rain, Fulham levelled courtesy of two quickfire strikes - Loupalo-Bi slotting past Sam Lewis before turning provider with a neat backheel for Works to equalise.
Yet the Young Lions showed determination following the double setback and regained the lead immediately from kick-off, Patterson crossing for Burrowes to convert from close range.

Villa stopper Lewis produced a diving save to deny Loupalo-Bi early in the second period as the tempo showed no sign of slowing.
The Cottagers were applying plenty of pressure in search of a leveller and Lewis got down quickly to turn behind an effort from Sekularac, while Kane Taylor blocked on the line from substitute Imani Lanquedoc.
Jimoh-Aloba came close to his hat-trick, firing over from 20 yards as the encounter entered the latter stages.

Villa were then indebted to Lewis as he produced a fantastic block to crucially thwart Chris Donnell when clean through in the 84th minute.
And it was the Young Lions who missed chances to add to the scoreline late on, sub Charlie Lutz going close before Jimoh-Aloba put narrowly wide with the goal at his mercy.
And Villa were made to pay the price in injury time as De Jesus arrived at the back post amid a crowded penalty area to convert a low cross from close range, ensuring the hosts were forced to settle for a point apiece.
