Lewis Dobbin netted his second goal for loan club Norwich City over the weekend, in the Canaries’ 4-2 victory over Stoke City.

Taking a pass from Marcelino Núñez just after the half hour, Dobbin cut inside of the Potters defence and found the bottom corner to put his side a goal to the good at Carrow Road, before being withdrawn at half-time.

Elsewhere in the Championship, there were starts for both Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Louie Barry. The Preston North End man played 65 minutes in a 2-1 defeat at Coventry City, while Barry’s Hull City secured an impressive 1-0 win at Sunderland.

Samuel Iling-Jr was an unused substitute for Middlesbrough in their 2-1 defeat at Bristol City on Friday night.

In League One, Joe Gauci started and kept a clean sheet for Barnsley in a 1-0 win at Rotherham United, though the Australian stopper was forced off through injury with 15 minutes to play at the New York Stadium.

There were 90 minutes each for both Josh Feeney and Lino Sousa – the former starting Shrewsbury Town’s 1-0 defeat at home to Stevenage, while Sousa featured in Bristol Rovers’ 2-1 defeat at Northampton Town. Sil Swinkels was an unused substitute for the Gas.

League Two saw Kobei Moore make his second appearance for Fleetwood Town – having made his debut in midweek – as the Cod Army lost 2-1 at Grimsby Town, the young forward coming off the bench for the final three minutes.

There was a 13th clean sheet of the season for Filip Marschall at Crewe Alexandra, as the Railwaymen triumphed 3-0 at home to Barrow.

Travis Patterson played 90 minutes and impressed again for MK Dons, who lost 2-0 away to Bradford City, while Tommi O’Reilly featured in the final 10 minutes off the bench at Valley Parade. Rico Richards was an unused substitute for Port Vale in their 2-1 win at home to Salford City.

In Germany, Kosta Nedeljkovic played the final 10 minutes off the bench for RB Leipzig, who drew 2-2 at home to Heidenheim on Sunday, while Emi Buendia came off the bench for the final 20 minutes in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 win at Holstein Kiel on Saturday.

In Spain, Enzo Barrenechea started and played 80 minutes in Valencia’s 3-0 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid, while James Wright and Fin Munroe both played 90 minutes for Real Union, who fell 1-0 at home to Real Sociedad B.

Belgian Pro League action saw two further Villans in action. Kadan Young came off the bench in stoppage time of Royal Antwerp’s 2-2 draw at home to Oud-Heverlee Leuven, while Leander Dendoncker played all of Anderlecht’s 2-0 defeat at home to Union Saint-Gilloise.

Philippe Coutinho started and played 80 minutes for Vasco da Gama on Sunday evening, in their 1-0 win over Botafogo. Charlie Lutz came off the bench and played 25 minutes for Kidderminster Harriers, who lost 3-1 at home to Spennymoor Town in National League North. Alex Moreno was an unused substitute for Nottingham Forest on Sunday, as they fell 4-2 at Newcastle United in the Premier League.
