Villa honours even with Town

Aston Villa shared the spoils with Ipswich Town in their Premier League encounter on Saturday.

The Tractor Boys were reduced to 10 men in the first half when former Villa defender Axel Tuanzebe was shown red for a second bookable offence.

But Liam Delap stunned Villa Park as he opened the scoring for the visitors, before Watkins’ 70^th Premier League goal for the club levelled matters.

Unai Emery’s charges threw everything at it in their attempts to find a winner, but it was not to be as they were forced to settle for a point apiece – duly extending Villa’s unbeaten home record in the league to 12 matches.
