Chasity Grant booked Aston Villa’s place in the Women’s FA Cup quarter-final yesterday afternoon as she bagged the side’s third and final goal in their 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
The pacey forward picked up a pass from Rachel Daly inside the away side’s final third before carrying the ball into the box and slotting a shot into the far bottom corner to also make it three goals in five games.
Speaking to VillaTV after the game, Grant said: “It feels good to get a win in.
“So proud of the team, we played really well.
“I am so happy.”

The win felt even better for the side because it came against fellow Women’s Super League opposition explained Grant.
“It is a really good feeling to get a win.
“It’s also against Brighton who are a really good team.
“So, it will be good for the team to have a win (under our belts).”
Anna Patten and Rachel Daly were also on target for the Villans at the Bescot Stadium, but it was the Netherlands international strike that sealed the win as Nikita Parris struck twice for the visitors.
The 23-year-old was delighted to seal the victory: “It always feels good to score a goal and it was the last goal (of the game) so it feels even more amazing.”
