Lucas Digne insists levels of focus and determination are high within Aston Villa’s camp, ahead of Tuesday night’s trip to Manchester City.
The Villans visit the Etihad Stadium looking for a sixth Premier League win on the spin, having responded to last week’s Champions League elimination with an emphatic 4-1 victory against Newcastle United over the weekend.
Frenchman Digne feels performances over the past two months have reached impressive heights, and is keen to keep building momentum.

“I think the last two months, we’ve had really good performances from everybody,” he said.
“It’s the main thing. At the moment, everybody is focused and we are reaching the same goal.
“We want to finish as high as possible and we just want to enjoy our football and enjoy the momentum.
“It’s really important to enjoy to be here. We pass a long time at the training ground together and we are doing well, but it’s not enough to finish at the top.
“We want more, and hopefully we will do it.”
The Villa left-back discussed the demands of competing in the Premier League and how, when Champions League football is the aim, each game throughout the season is as important as the next.
Digne is relishing the challenge of fighting for a top five finish, and is looking forward to what promises to be an exciting, all-action run-in.

The 31-year-old added: “The last two months, we’ve had had only big games. Every three days is a big game.
“It’s just to enjoy the moment, and I think it’s what we are playing for.
“Every player wants to play big games and we just enjoy the atmosphere in each stadium and enjoy the moment.
“At the beginning of the season, we said we wanted to reach Europe, and now we are fighting for Champions League.
“We will see what happens. We will do our best to reach the Champions League, and that’s it. It’s the highest level.
“We played this year and we showed we had the attitude and the character to play at this level – at the top level – and we want to do it again, but we have to work on it and we will see what happens.”
