Aston Villa have enjoyed another busy week on the field, with two more games in two different competitions as their charge for a Champions League place next season continued.
Unai Emery's side bowed out of Europe's elite competition, despite a valiant fightback at Villa Park against French champions Paris Saint-Germain, as goals from Youri Tielemans, John McGinn and Ezri Konsa sealed a 3-2 win on the night but saw Villa ultimately fall 5-4 on aggregate.
But the Villans fought back emphatically on Saturday evening, beating fellow top five hopefuls Newcastle United 4-1 in B6 to ensure their push for a place in the 2025/26 Champions League continued.
