Aston Villa return to Women's Super League action for the first time in three weeks this afternoon as they travel to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

Today's clash also marks the start of the run-in as only four games remain of the 2024/25 campaign.

Natalia Arroyo's side will be searching to make it back-to-back victories and build on their performance and result from last time out.

The Villans came from behind to defeat Liverpool 2-1 back in March as the three points helped pull the side further away from the bottom of the table.

A second-half penalty from Marie Höbinger saw the Reds take the lead but Kirsty Hanson came off the bench to pull her side level with 20 minutes to go.

Villa continued to pile on the pressure inside the closing stages and were rewarded for their efforts as Ebony Salmon forced an own goal on the 87th minute to seal the win.

Today's opponents, Tottenham, earned a point away to Leicester City the last time they were in action.

An own goal from Josefine Rybrink gifted the Foxes a 1-0 lead but Drew Spence found the equaliser to secure a point for Spurs.

Pre-Match Thoughts

"Until there's no option of any points combination, we won't be safe. So, we know we need points and potentially three points against Tottenham will put us very close to our goal. But even if that happens we need to face the next three games with the intention of winning because that's the best way to build a better future."
