It promises to be an action-packed summer of internationals as the European Championship and Copa América take centre stage.

There will be plenty of Aston Villa players representing their respective nations as they bid for glory, with provisional squads being named and warm-up matches taking place in preparation for the tournaments.

England

Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa have been named in England’s pre-Euro 2024 training squad ahead of this summer’s European Championship.

The Villa duo will be part of the Three Lions ranks for home friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, June 3 and Iceland on Friday, June 7.

Brazil

Douglas Luiz has been included in Brazil’s squad for this summer’s Copa América.

The Villa midfielder will look to help guide the Seleção to glory at the tournament in the USA, with Brazil having suffered defeat to Argentina in the final three years ago.

Argentina

Emi Martínez has been named in Argentina’s squad for their pre-Copa América fixtures against Ecuador and Guatemala.

La Albiceleste, who will be looking to defend their crown, will prepare for the tournament with matches against Ecuador on Sunday, June 9 and Guatemala on Friday, June 14.

Colombia

Jhon Durán has joined up with Colombia ahead of their Copa América campaign.

The striker has friendlies against USA on Saturday, June 8 and Bolivia on Saturday, June 15 to look forward to before the competition gets underway.

Scotland 

John McGinn has been named in Scotland’s provisional squad for Euro 2024.

Steve Clarke’s team have friendlies against Gibraltar on Monday, June 3 and Finland on Friday, June 7 lined up before the tournament.

Sweden

Robin Olsen has been selected in Sweden’s squad for their matches against Denmark and Serbia.

Sweden travel to Denmark on Wednesday, June 5 before hosting Serbia on Saturday, June 8.

Youri Tielemans, Belgium.

Belgium

Youri Tielemans has been named in Belgium's squad for the finals in Germany.

They have warm-up games against Montenegro on Wednesday, June 5 and Luxembourg on Saturday, June 8.

Australia

Joe Gauci will link up with Australia for a pair of FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Australia are away to Bangladesh on Thursday, June 6 and at home to Palestine on Tuesday, June 11.

Poland

Fellow goalkeeper Oliwier Zych, who has spent the season on loan at Puszcza Niepołomice in his homeland, has been named in Poland's training camp squad.

In preparation for Euro 2024, they have games against Ukraine on Friday, June 7 and Turkey on Monday, June 10.
