Aston Villa supporters can vote now for your April Player of the Month.

Unai Emery’s impressive side played seven matches during the month, including our memorable victory against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium and dramatic Europa Conference League triumph over LOSC Lille.

April started with a 4-1 defeat at Manchester City, Jhon Durán on target, before Ollie Watkins bagged a brace and Morgan Rogers scored his first goal for the club in a 3-3 draw against Brentford.

Villa subsequently secured a 2-1 quarter-final first leg success over Lille, Watkins and captain John McGinn finding the net.

Emery’s side made the trip to north London three days later and recorded a superb 2-0 triumph thanks to Watkins and Leon Bailey.

Fast forward to northern France and Matty Cash rifled home late on to send Villa’s second leg against Lille to extra-time and penalties, during which Emi Martínez proved the shoot-out hero to book the club’s spot in the last four in style.

Rogers, Bailey and Moussa Diaby then helped the Villans to a hard-fought 3-1 home win over AFC Bournemouth just three days later.

And Villa wrapped up a hectic month with a pulsating 2-2 draw against Chelsea, in-form Rogers again on target following an early Marc Cucurella own goal.
