Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa suffered dissapointment as they lost out in the final of Euro 2024 with England on Sunday night.

The Aston Villa duo were part of the Three Lions squad as they were defeated 2-1 by Spain in the European Championship final in Berlin.

Watkins was introduced after 61 minutes and made a positive impact as England fought back from 1-0 down, Cole Palmer's leveller cancelling out an opener from Nico Williams.

But Mikel Oyarzabal's 86th-minute strike ensured Gareth Southgate's side succumbed to a narrow loss late on as Spain were crowned European champions.

Both Watkins and Konsa, who remained an unused substitute in the showpiece final, contributed to England’s run to the final in Germany.

Konsa featured in three of their seven matches, putting in a standout display when he started the quarter-final against Switzerland.

Meanwhile, Watkins made the most of his nine minutes on the pitch in the semi-final, scoring a last-gasp winner versus the Netherlands to clinch England's place at the Olympiastadion.

Commiserations, Ezri and Ollie!
