The Aston Villa Foundation are pleased to release their 2022/23 Community Report.

As the charitable arm of Aston Villa Football Club, the Foundation and our partners provide support and opportunities in various areas across the city of Birmingham, having a presence in the community for over 30 years.

The report encompasses the community work of the Foundation across the 2022/23 season, working with close to 30,000 individuals. Through the work we do, we are committed to working towards our mission statement of 'Working Together to Enrich Lives'.

Notable stories and highlights of the season are featured within the report, including Villa Park hosting an Iftar for the first time. Over 500 people attended, with 70 volunteers from the Ramadan Tent Project and Aston Villa Foundation staff helping to organise the event. The call to prayer was delivered over the Villa Park PA system, to not only be heard by those in the Holte Suite but also those in the vicinity of the stadium.

The report also looks to the future of the Foundation moving into 2024. The document highlights the Foundation’s successful bid to become the Lead Coordinator for the Youth Endowment Fund’s (YEF) Neighbourhood Fund in Lozells and Newtown, as well as our work with Digbeth Dining Club CIC on the purchase of a Crime Scene Investigation van, to be turned into a fully operational food truck offering education and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry.
