Aston Villa Women returned to winning ways on Friday evening, beating Leicester City 1-0 at Pirelli Stadium.

Rachel Daly struck what turned out to be the winning goal after 16 minutes, volleying home from inside the Foxes area.

Some late-game heroics at the other end of the pitch preserved the points for Carla Ward's side, and they have made a welcome return to form.
