Unai Emery has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for December.
The accolade is reward for a strong run of results in the final month of 2023 masterminded by Aston Villa’s head coach.
Title challengers Manchester City and Arsenal were both beaten 1-0 at Villa Park in the space of four days, while there were also wins against Brentford and Burnley.
Draws against Sheffield United and Bournemouth saw the team take 14 points from a possible 21 across the month as Villa finished the year in second place.
This is the second Manager of the Month award of Emery’s tenure at Villa.
