Kaine Kesler-Hayden registered an assist and clean sheet on Boxing Day, as his loan club Preston North End beat Hull City 1-0.
Starting in his usual left-wing-back spot, Kesler-Hayden pulled the ball back into the penalty area on the hour mark for Brad Potts to convert and hand Paul Heckingbottom’s side all three points.
The win lifted North End to 16th in the Championship table, ahead of Sunday’s lunchtime visit of Sheffield Wednesday.

In League One, there was also a clean sheet for Josh Feeney, as Shrewsbury Town beat Lincoln City 1-0.
The young defender started and played 90 minutes for the Shrews, making his 14th appearance of the season.
Louie Barry completed 90 minutes in the first game since it was confirmed he would be returning to Aston Villa in January, as Stockport County lost 1-0 at Huddersfield Town.

In League Two, Filip Marschall played 90 minutes in goal as Crewe Alexandra fell 2-1 at Cheltenham Town, while Rico Richards came off the bench for the final 23 minutes of Port Vale’s 2-1 defeat at Bradford City.
In the Premier League, Álex Moreno was an unused substitute for Nottingham Forest, while on Friday evening in Belgium, Leander Dendoncker played 90 minutes for Anderlecht who lost 3-2 at home to Dender.
