Aston Villa started their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign with a 3-2 defeat at Legia Warszawa on Thursday night.

Amid a red-hot atmosphere in the Polish capital, Unai Emery’s side twice fought from behind to go in on level terms at the break courtesy of goals from Jhon Durán and Lucas Digne.

But Ernest Muci’s strike early in the second half inflicted defeat on the Villans at The Marshall Józef Piłsudski's Municipal Stadium of Legia Warsaw.
