Unai Emery hailed Aston Villa’s home support after his side roared back to beat Crystal Palace at Villa Park on Saturday.
A stunning late fightback saw the hosts claim all three points thanks to goals from Jhon Duran, Douglas Luiz and Leon Bailey.
And Emery was delighted with the character shown to register a tenth successive home win.

“I’m very happy,” he said.
“We’re very excited to play every match here with our supporters. We have now won ten matches in a row, but the challenge is harder and more difficult in our way.
“Today we started losing – we didn’t start losing the other matches – and our reaction was fantastic. Not tactically because after their goal we were losing our structure, but we played with our heart and our mind.
“We needed the supporters and I think the atmosphere was fantastic to get this reaction.
“In the first half we played very well and controlled the game like we have been doing at home. We created chances; we didn’t score but we created good chances to score and we didn’t concede chances to them.
“The second half was completely different because they scored and it changed everything. I’m very happy today.”

After two wins and two defeats to start the league campaign, the result was an important one to keep Villa moving in the right direction.
Emery will now switch his focus upcoming challenges, which include the beginning of the club’s Europa Conference League campaign on Thursday.
He said: “We’ve had to try and get a good balance at home and away. I want to keep going in the same way at home with our supporters.
“I want to create a strong structure and mentality here at home. Now I’m going to think about the next match in the Conference League and then Chelsea away.
“The challenges we are going to face, we’re very excited to face them.”
