Ollie Watkins capped a memorable week by signing a new, long-term contract with Aston Villa on Friday.
The striker, who joined the club in 2020, has put pen to paper on a deal which extends his stay at Villa Park.
It comes just a day after he received a recall to the England squad for the October internationals, when he will be hoping to add to his seven senior caps having found the net on his last outing for the Three Lions in March 2022.
Watkins’ England call-up comes after he netted a hat-trick and also grabbed an assist in last Saturday’s scintillating 6-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.
In doing so, he registered his 50th goal in claret and blue, became the first Villa player to score more than one treble in a season since Andy Gray in 1976/77 and earned a nomination for September's Premier League Player of the Month.
