Tommi O’Reilly has been nominated for the Premier League 2 September Player of the Month award.
The 19-year-old has worn the captain’s armband and played every single league minute for Aston Villa’s Under-21s so far this season, and his creative form has now been recognised.
O’Reilly recorded three assists in three games during September, with two in the 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers and one in a defeat by the same scoreline to Sunderland.
In total, he has been directly involved in six goals in six PL2 games, with one goal and five assists.
He is up against Luca Barrington (Brighton and Hove Albion), Alfie Dorrington (Tottenham Hotspur), Omari Forson (Manchester United), Harry Gardiner (Sunderland), Callum Kavanagh (Middlesbrough), Callum Marshall (West Ham United) and Mark O’Mahony (Brighton and Hove Albion).
