Unai Emery was pleased with Aston Villa’s performance as they saw off Legia Warszawa in the Europa Conference League.
Moussa Diaby got the hosts off to the perfect start before they were pegged back by Ernest Muçi later in the first half.
The returning Alex Moreno capped his first appearance of the season with the winner as Villa moved top of Group E.

“I’m very happy,” he said.
“Here in Villa Park I’m always excited to play and connect with our supporters. In this competition we have to create and build feelings together.
“Tonight we were playing in different moments, scoring one goal, conceding one goal with a mistake but still keeping the same idea and style and consistency in 90 minutes.
“At the end we were playing better in the second half than in the first half and got the second goal. They had chances but in the end I think we deserved it.
“I’m happy because this competition is important for the supporters, for the club and Europe is always giving us something different to the league.”

Villa now head into their final group game against HŠK Zrinjski knowing a draw will be enough to see them advance to the Round of 16.
And Emery is feeling positive about their progress in the competition, with several squad members getting vital minutes.
Emery said: “It’s amazing, Alex’s comeback, because he scored, we won and he was feeling very good.
“There were minutes for Jacob Ramsey as well and 90 minutes for Jhon Duran.
“We need to have players ready to play and available to help us. When we are like that, we can feel stronger.”
