Hannah Hampton, Jordan Nobbs and Rachel Daly have been named in England's squad for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup!

The Aston Villa trio have received confirmation that they will be part of Sarina Wiegman's 23-player group for the upcoming tournament in Australia and New Zealand.

Hampton, Nobbs and Daly become the first Villa Women players to be selected for a senior World Cup tournament, with the former having represented her country at last summer's European Championships.

The Lionesses will open their campaign at Suncorp Stadium against Haiti on Saturday, July 22 at 10.30am, before their remaining Group D fixtures with Denmark and China.

Hampton has returned to the Lionesses setup with a string of fine performances at club level during the second half of the 2022/23 season.

The shot-stopper has two senior caps to her name and will be hoping to provide competition to Manchester United's Mary Earps for a starting berth at the tournament.

Nobbs is another who has seen her club form help her return to the fold.

Having joined Villa from Arsenal during the January transfer window, Jordan quickly earned a recall to the senior squad and will be wanting to add to her 71 caps and eight goals during the World Cup.

Daly, meanwhile, will be dreaming of seeing her goals propel the Lionesses to glory.

Our no.8, who took the Barclays WSL by storm this season, picked up the league's Player of the Season and Golden Boot awards.

Rachel has 68 caps and 13 goals to her name at international level and will have her sights set on adding to those totals in Australia and New Zealand.

Congratulations and good luck to Hannah, Jordan and Rachel!
