Aston Villa’s Premier League 2 promotion ambitions came to an end as they were undone 2-1 in their play-off semi-final against Leeds United at Elland Road.

The Young Lions took the lead courtesy of Brad Young’s header but goals from Mateo Joseph and Sonny Perkins turned the game around.

Defeat in West Yorkshire saw Villa suffer end-of-season agony having finished the regular PL2 campaign fifth in the Division Two table.
