Aston Villa overcame Crystal Palace at Villa Park on Saturday to pick up three valuable points in the Premier League.

After the visitors had seen a goal disallowed for offside, Matty Cash’s cross was turned into the net by Joachim Andersen.

Two poor challenges saw Cheick Doucoure sent-off in the second half, and Villa were able to navigate through the remainder of the match with their one-goal lead.

There was also a Villa Park return for Juan Pablo Ángel, who was introduced to the crowd ahead of kick-off.
