Experienced pro Ashley, who has lifted the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and Serie A title, first joined Aston Villa 16 years ago in January 2007, and has made a total of 234 appearances during two spells at the club.
Teenage Academy graduate Kadan, 17, penned his first professional contract last week and has been among the first-team squad on a regular basis this season.
And the Villa pair took time out at the club’s training ground this week to talk about their respective journeys so far.
Kadan discussed signing his first pro deal, stepping up from the Academy to life among the first team, his Villa role models and being scouted by the club at a birthday party when he was younger!
Ashley also spoke about first joining the club 16 years ago, how things have changed, his career path and offered key advice for Kadan.
