Leon Bailey says he’s feeling confident in his game heading into Saturday’s Premier League clash against Southampton.
The 25-year-old bounced back from a late miss against Wolves with the opening goal in a 2-1 victory versus Leeds United last time out.
And the Jamaican is now focused on continuing to help Aston Villa climb up the table.

“I never let anything get me down for too long,” he said.
“I’ve faced too many obstacles in my life, and my whole career, to let one moment hold me back for too long.
“I used that game to learn from it and motivate me to make sure the next one (chance) I get, I’ll take. That’s what happened.
“I’m really grateful that I could score that early to give the team a push.”
Bailey added: “I’ve been working hard all through pre-season up until this point, so I feel really good.
“I’m happy with how things are going. I’m hoping I can carry on helping the team as much as possible.”

The winger has been a key component for Unai Emery since the head coach’s arrival in October, featuring in all of the last eight games.
Bailey has quickly adapted to the Spaniard’s methods.
“He’s brilliant; I really like him a lot,” he said.
“I think he’s very clever. He’s passionate about what he wants, he’s demanding of the players and he’s really good at being there for the team and giving us the confidence to carry out the instructions he wants.
“He’s done a really good job so far.”

Southampton provide the opposition for Villa this weekend as Bailey and co look to improve upon a run of four wins in six league games.
The winger says his team must take care of their own performance in order to gain a positive result.
Bailey said: “Away games are always tough. This is the Premier League so every game is tough, and we’re not expecting anything less from them.
“We’re just focused on ourselves. When the day comes, we’ll carry out our instructions from the coach and play the style of football we know we can play. We’ll try to get the three points.”
